Marcus i High School i USA

May has been the best month of my stay in the United States. The days have literally gone by to fast. My soccer team just won the Conference and is now going into sub state. A couple of weeks ago me and my host parents went to two baseball games in Chicago, this was very fun and probably the coolest thing I’ve done since I got here.

I’ve learned a lot about the American culture and America, more than I taught I ever would. Before I came I honestly taught America only was about the big cities, America is about much more than that. One thing that surprised me is the kindness and the hospitality of the American people. People you just met would easily invite you in for supper or just come into their house.

Leaving the United States is very sad, however I am also getting ready to go home. I’ve made several friends that I hope I can stay in touch with, and hopefully I get the opportunity to meet them again.

I’m leaving the United States June 6th, and I have already started to pack my bag. When I look back on my stay, I can’t believe how fast it has gone. I am definitely a stronger person now than I was when I left Norway, and I am grateful that I got the opportunity to come to America as an exchange student.
